FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ABOUT NAMETAPES
Q: I like what I see -- how much do they cost?
A: Single-line
Embroidered Nametapes are only USD$7.26 (American Dollars) for a group of
three. The group of three must be identical (same wording, thread, tape material, and shipped to the same location). Please add
$2.90 for shipping. If you live inside of
Nametapes that have two lines of
information are USD$12.00 for a group of three (identical wording, thread,
material).
Yes, we accept VISA
& MasterCard
Nametapes can be ordered through
your local supplier. Please check the Yellow Pages for a local uniform supply
house.
There is no extra charge for
special thread colors if we have them in stock. If we don't have your thread
color in stock, there is an additional one-time USD$20 thread charge (We'll
contact you if we don't have it in stock).
Q: I only need one nametape -- can I buy just one?
A: Sorry, our
machines make them in groups of three. Therefore, we only sell groups of three
or more nametapes - We DO NOT make less than three nametapes of any
name/thread/tape color (all three must be identical
and shipped to the same location).
Q: How do you decide how big to make the lettering?
A: What we
make is determined by what you order and the instructions you give us. If your
product order and custom wording meets published government specifications, we
make it to military standards. Otherwise, we make it EXACTLY as you tell us you
want it. If you don't specify, we use common sense (we always make you look
sharp).
FYI: We are certified for military work.
Military Olive Drab (OD) nametapes are made in all capital block lettering
(Franklin Gothic Condensed) on a single line, have 3/4 inch letters (10
character maximum) or 1/2 inch lettering size (long names), and have only the
last name (Rank, numbers, or initials are not permitted). We have the option to
use extra-condensed lettering to exceed the 10 character maximum (as per
AR-670-1). We are NOT required to remove the thread connecting the letters --
but we do it anyway to keep you looking sharp!
NOTE! If you order military nametapes and specify
non-military wording (Example: "CPL. J.F. WILSON" instead of "
Non-military nametapes are made in
1/2 inch capital block lettering (15 character maximum) or 3/8 inch letters
(all other wording), and may have initials, punctuation, or special wording.
All lettering is done on a single line and may have lower case letters or
numbers as requested. We can put up to two lines of information on a tape (one
above the other). A "character" includes letters A-Z and a-z, numbers
zero to nine, punctuation " ; ' . - &
/ ( ) and spaces. There are no slashes through zeros, sevens, or "Z".
We cannot make other punctuation marks.
FYI, There is no military
requirement to remove the "jump stitches" (the thread connecting the
letters) and most other suppliers will not
remove it. We do
remove it to keep you looking sharp! Yes, it's a lot more work, but we're glad
to do it for you!
